The
Rio San Juan brings life to many
forgotten villages in southern Nicaragua. The people have lived a
simple life for many years. Their lives
are dependent on the river. It
is their transportation. The
derive their food from the river. They
bathe in the river, wash clothes in the river. Play
in the river. Use
its water for cooking and drinking. And
dispose waste in the river.
Below
is a map of the southeast region of
Nicaragua. The four clinics we currently
support are located at the communities of
Boca de Sabalos, El Castillo, Las
Maravillas, and Buena Vista.
